Born in Wisconsin, Steve Porter adores everything about his home state — and it shows. Prior to pursuing a career as an employment attorney, he attended the University of Wisconsin in Madison, where he would later establish his law firm. As an undergraduate, he majored in Sociology, with an emphasis in Complex Organizations and Statistics. He continued on at the University of Wisconsin after earning his Bachelor of Arts, this time attending the university’s acclaimed law school. He obtained his Juris Doctor in 1983.

After graduating from law school, Steve Porter launched his career as a solo practitioner. Since establishing his practice, he has enjoyed numerous courtroom victories. Over the years, he has represented a wide array of clients, treating all with the respect and kindness they deserve. He has appeared in both state and federal courts, as well as state and federal court of appeals and the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
